Dr. Steven Holeman
has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology and a Master of
Science in Counseling Psychology. He has been in the mental health field since 1987, and a mental health professional
since 1991. He has been a licensed and certified professional since 1993. He is Licensed as a
Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri (only mental health professionals licensed by the State may provide
counseling, psychotherapeutic, assessment and diagnostic services).
Dr. Holeman is also a National Certified
Counselor (NCC), and a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), which designates his specialty in addiction evaluation and treatment.
He is also a Substance Abuse Professional (DOT), an Executive & Life Coach, Certified Mediator and a qualified
Play Therapist. He is also a 'Parenting with Love & Logic' as well as a 'Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!' He
also is a '123 Magic (Parent Magic)' facilitator. Dr. Holeman is a panelist for many insurance providers, Employee
Assitance Programs, and is a Military Family Life Consultant.
As of January 1, 2016 Dr. Holeman has completed over 1,150 hours
of continuing education. He has been involved in other professional development programs, and acted as an adjunct professor
of psychology and social studies. In fact, over the past 17 years of licensed private practice, Dr. Holeman has strived to
maintain a high level of knowledge on evidenced-based and alternative practice models. In addition to completing his doctorate
he has averaged over 45 hours of continuing education hours every year (only 20 hours are required each year) for
the past 20+ years (The 'National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC)' mandates all 'National Certified Counselors (NCC)'
complete 20 hours per year).
